    This weekends Happy Heart: Healthy Eating Day is being hosted by the Sacramento Childrens Museum and is designed to promote good exercise and healthy eating habits for people who attend the museum during the holiday season. This is a great family event, as it is important during this time of year to remember good health and activities have been created for both adults and kids.

    Angies List, a nation-wide award that honors excellence among health and service providers who demonstrate top-of-the-line service, has inducted some new members this month, with one of Rancho Cordovas companies receiving a top ranking.

  • Chris Rocks mother to give parenting advice in Rancho Cordova

    Rose Mama Rock, author, foster parent, educator, and mother of 10, will provide her insight on successful parenting as part of Rancho Cordovas Remodeling the Village project. Her keynote address will be based on her book, Ten Lessons for Raising a Houseful of Successful Children, which presents a sensible approach to parenting integrated with her unique sense of humor. She is also the mother of comedian Chris Rock.

  • Triathlon to be held in Folsoms beautiful park

    The Folsom Long Course Triathlon starts promptly at 7:00 a.m. on August 18 and features a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike journey, and 13.1-mile run at the Nimbus Flat State Park. With fresh mountain water provided for the event, this is a perfect location. After it is over, many attendees will probably visit the world famous Napa Valley or Lake Tahoe. The Marriott Hotel in Rancho Cordova is fast filling up, as well as hotels in Folsom.
